Following the popularity of their drawing competition in recent years, local letting specialists Leaders are once again giving local children the chance to win £250 for their school plus £50 worth of art equipment for themselves.
This year the theme is ‘Draw your Ideal Home. This can be anything from a realistic house, flat or castle to the more fantastical: a teapot, sweet factory or spaceship! The entries can be in any medium – paint, pencil, collage, crayon, etc – and need to be no bigger than A4 in size.
Says Leaders’ Managing Director, Paul Weller: “In the last three years we have been inundated by entries to our drawing competition from children across the areas we cover, and have been delighted to award hundreds of pounds to local schools. We have been very impressed by the time and effort the children have taken over their entries and have had some very worthy winners.
“As a long established business with a large number of employees and clients across Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, we like to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate, whether by helping to raise funds for local charities or sponsoring individuals or community projects. Our drawing competition has become a fun way for us to contribute to local schools and we hope to see lots of children taking part again this year.”
Children aged between 4 and 11 years old are invited to enter the competition. There will be two categories: ages 4-7 years and 8-11 years.
The deadline for entry is Thursday, 1st April 2010 and the winners will be notified and announced by the end of April. The winners in each category will be awarded £250 for their school, plus a £50 gift voucher for themselves to spend on art equipment.
To take part in the competition, please send your artwork (no bigger than A4 size) to Lisa Martin, PR Manager, Leaders Ltd, Columbia House, Columbia Drive, Worthing, West Sussex, BN13 3HD.
Don’t forget to write your name, age, contact telephone number and which school you attend clearly on the back.
A selection of the artwork will be published on Leaders’ website and the winning entries will be displayed in the winners’ local branch. The winning illustrations may also be considered for use in future leaflets, posters and other promotional material produced by Leaders. Unfortunately it will not be possible to return artwork.
