Letting specialist Grants, part of Leaders, were inundated with hundreds of pictures for their annual drawing competition this year. The theme was ‘Draw your Ideal Street’ and the competition was open to children aged 4-11 years across the South.
Three children from High Wycombe were runners-up in the competition with their eye catching and original drawings. Alice Martin, 9; Harry Walden, 10; and Georgia Woodward, 10, each won a comprehensive art set, complete with a selection of coloured crayons, pencils, pens and paints.
Said Grants’ senior manager, Jim Browning, who presented the children with their prizes and certificates: “Congratulations to Alice, Harry and Georgia. Their drawings were very striking and made a real impression on the judges. We were totally overwhelmed by the number and quality of the entries we received this year, so they did very well to win a prize.
“We would like to thank all the children who entered for their wonderful pictures; we really appreciated the time, effort and imagination that went into them. Some of the streets had fantastic features, including a money tree, chocolate factory, castles and candy flowers!”
This is the fifth year Leaders have run their popular drawing competition and they were delighted with the response they received.
As a long established business with a large number of employees and clients across the South, Leaders are keen to make a positive contribution to the communities in which they operate, whether by helping to raise funds for local charities or sponsoring individuals or community projects. Since the drawing competition began in 2007 they have awarded a total of £2500 to 10 schools. The company sees its drawing competition as a fun way to contribute to local schools and are pleased that so many children took part again this year.
